In 1970 G. Anthony Joseph began his training in martial arts at a dojo called “The System” in Baltimore, Maryland. His mother selected the school from a phone book yellow page ad, hoping her son would enjoy the class. A previous attempt at a karate dojo failed.
The System was operated by Paul Olivas. Two undefeated Champs at the school became G’s teachers as well. To this day G Anthony is still with the same teacher who became the number 1 exponent and in turn G became proficient in this unique ORBITAL striking system .
In 1981 he returned to Trinidad and opened a dojo at the St. Finbar’s hall in Westmoorings with his first class consisting of 10 students. Following numerous demonstrations throughout the high schools in Port-of-Spain, the school grew exponentially, and G. Anthony’s TCF Academy of Martial Arts became the premiere Martial Arts school in the region due to its unique striking & training methods. G led successful competitive teams throughout the USA in 1980’s, and individual kick-boxers in the 1990’s.
Today, G continues to teach privately and trains to hone the skills he’s learnt throughout the years. A Definitive “through line “ connects every part of the TCF System from day 1 .
"Training in the TCF System for over 40 years has been an incredible journey. It’s not just about mastering techniques, but about continuous growth, discipline, and inner strength. I wouldn’t train anywhere else."
"I’ve been training in the TCF System for decades, and it has profoundly shaped my life. The blend of practical self-defense and the deep connection between mind and body keeps me engaged and motivated. Each session offers new insights, making this a lifelong practice that continues to evolve. The TCF System isn’t just a martial art; it’s a journey of personal growth and resilience."
